Potrero Chico is a multi-pitch sport climbing area outside of Hildago, Mexico and for a week in early February Big Oil, Buckley, John W. and I are going there! Hopefully Mark and Jeff will also be able to go but they won't know until kind of last minute. Big Oil and I were originally planning on heading to Ouray, CO for a little ice climbing at the park but when Mark mentioned Potrero Chico I became just a little intrigued. After a few days of research I had pretty much decided we should scrap Ouray and head down to Mexico for a few cervezas and a little sport climbing. Besides, where else can you run up a 2000+ foot wall and not have to place any trad gear!
