Workout of the Day (WOD)

While it's painfully obvious what today's workout is, some of the terminology can be confusing at first. For example if todays workout is "Clean 3-3-3-3-3-3-3", what exactly are you suppose to do? You'll be performing the Clean lift at "your" maximal load for 3 consecutive repetitions and then taking a short break. This will be repeated a total of seven times, hence the 3-3-3-3-3-3-3, and will complete said workout. This is not a timed exercise so take as much time as it takes to complete the routine.

Another example might be Fran, one of "The Girls", which consists of Thruster 95lbs and Pull-ups, 21-15-9 reps, for time. You will perform 21 Thrusters then 21 Pull-ups, 15 Thrusters and 15 Pull-ups, and finally 9 Thrusters and Pull-ups as quickly as possible with as little rest between each cycle. If you are physically unable to perform 21 Thrusters with 95lbs then use less weight keeping in mind that by the time you reach 21 repetitions you should be near or at maximal effort.
